Premium Private Tours in Siem Reap & Angkor Wat

Two of you. No crowds. One unforgettable Angkor.

traveler choice best of the best 2023
traveler choice best of the best 2023
You did not fly to Cambodia to follow a group through Angkor Wat. You came for something rare: the temples at dawn, almost to yourselves. A vintage Jeep waiting at your hotel. A guide who was born here and knows which path leads to silence.

Adventures Cambodia creates fully private tours for discerning travelers — couples, explorers, and anyone who refuses to experience the extraordinary in an ordinary way. Every tour is yours alone. Every detail is adjusted to your pace, your interests, your morning.

We are not a booking platform. We are based in Siem Reap. We walk these temples ourselves. And when you message us, you reach a person — not a call center.

Premium tours in Siem Reap & Angkor. Bespoke itinerary, expert local guide, zero crowds. Based on the ground

There are tuk-tuks, minibuses, and air-conditioned vans. And then there are our vintage Jeeps — open-sided, wind-in-your-face, built for the roads of Cambodia before air conditioning existed. Sitting in the back of one of our Jeeps as it rolls through the Angkor forest at sunrise is a completely different experience from anything else on offer in Siem Reap.
Adventures Cambodia has been running Jeep tours since 2013, founded by Akim Ly — a Siem Reap local who has driven a vintage Jeep as her personal car for over ten years. All tours are fully private, led by local Cambodian guides, and capped to your group only. TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice "Best of the Best" award winner.
Unique to Adventures Cambodia: hold a valid driving license and you can take the wheel yourself - offering a self-drive Jeep experience inside and around the Angkor Park.
Best for: couples, families, photographers, travelers who want open-air Angkor without a motorbike, and anyone who has ever wanted to drive a vintage vehicle through a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Every Tour Is Built Around You. Not a Template.

Making sure you have an exceptional, exclusive experience

Your Guide. Your Pace. Your Angkor.

A private tour with Adventures Cambodia is not a group tour with fewer people in it.

It is a completely different experience.

Your guide waits for you — not the other way around. Your itinerary is written around what you want to see, how long you want to linger, and whether you prefer your sunrise early or your temples quiet. If you want to spend an extra hour at Ta Prohm because the light is extraordinary, we stay. If you want to skip a temple and find a local market instead, we go.

This is what private truly means.

The Way You Travel Between Temples Is Part of the Experience.

A vintage Jeep for the couple who wants to arrive in style, dust rising behind them on the road to Angkor. A classic Vespa for those who want to feel the air, lean into the curves, and experience the countryside the way locals do. An electric mountain bike for the traveler who wants to move through the jungle trails of Angkor under their own power — quietly, intimately, off the main path. Each vehicle changes how you see Siem Reap. Each one creates photographs you will not find on anyone else's camera roll. Each one places you inside the landscape, not insulated from it.

Choose your vehicle. It will shape your entire day.

Designed to Exceed Expectation

We are based in Siem Reap. Our guides are locals who grew up near these temples. When you book with us, you are not purchasing a product from a catalogue. You are booking the expertise of people who walk these paths every week — who know which temple is crowded on a Tuesday morning, which road floods in October, and which hidden courtyard offers the most extraordinary light at 7am. They know the monks who live inside these walls. They know the vendors who have been at the same spot for twenty years. That knowledge is not something you can find on a booking platform, and it is not something that arrives with a guide assigned the morning of your tour.

Why Travelers Choose Adventures Cambodia

We Live Here. We Are Not Managing You From Afar.

Most tour operators selling "luxury Siem Reap experiences" are based in Europe, Bangkok, or Phnom Penh. They broker your experience through local suppliers they have never met. Adventures Cambodia is different. We are on the ground in Siem Reap, every day. When you book with us, you reach a person who walked the temples this morning. Who knows which path is flooded after rain. Who can act as your concierge, your guide, and your local connection - all at once.

The Jeep, Vespa or e-bike Are Not Props. They Are the Experience.

Across all of Siem Reap, there is no other operator offering private tours in a vintage Jeep as their signature vehicle. There is no other team where a Vespa is not a budget choice, but a deliberate, romantic, extraordinary one. These vehicles create experiences that a white minivan cannot. They create photographs. They create stories. They create the reason your trip was different from every other trip you have taken.

Your Guide Was Born Near These Temples.

Our guides are not trained to recite temple facts. They grew up in the shadow of Angkor. They know the monks who live inside. They know the vendors who have been at the same spot for twenty years. They know the light at each temple at each hour of the day. This is the insider knowledge that no guidebook, no aggregator, and no international tour company can give you. It lives here. And it is yours when you travel with us.

Over 300 Verified Reviews. Real Travelers. Honest Words.

We do not ask you to trust our description of ourselves. We ask you to read what past guests — couples, honeymooners, first-time visitors and returning ones — have written about their time with Adventures Cambodia. Then decide.

Private tour, an affordable luxury

I was born in Siem Reap. I grew up exploring these temples before most of our guests had even heard of Angkor Wat.

When I built Adventures Cambodia, I had one obsession: to give visitors the experience of seeing this place the way I see it. Not from a bus window. Not at the back of a group. But up close, at your pace, with someone who genuinely loves what they are showing you.

The Jeep, Vespa or e-bike came from the same idea. They are vehicles that make you feel present — in the landscape, in the air, in the moment. Not insulated from it.
I cannot promise you that our tours are the cheapest in Siem Reap. I can promise you they are the most honest, the most personal, and the most alive.

More Than a Tour Operator: Your Private Concierge in Siem Reap

When you travel at this level, the experience does not begin with the first tour and end at the last temple. It begins from the moment you land — and we can be part of every step.
These are not questions a booking platform can answer. They require someone who lives here, knows the city personally, and cares about the quality of your entire experience - not just the tour hours.

That is what Adventures Cambodia offers: a genuine local connection. Tell us what kind of trip you want. We will tell you how to build it.

FAQ about Premium and Luxury Tours

What "Premium" Actually Means

What does premium mean for an Adventures Cambodia tour? Is this formal and white-glove?

Not in the traditional sense — and that is intentional. There is no butler, no formal itinerary booklet. What we offer is rarer: a completely private, deeply personal experience led by someone who genuinely knows this place. Your time is never wasted. Your guide reads the morning — the light, the crowds, the moment — and adjusts everything around you. Barefoot luxury, if you like. Extraordinary in every way that matters, informal in every way that makes it real. If you are staying at Amansara or Raffles and want your tour to match the quality of your hotel without the stiffness of a formal operator, this is exactly what Adventures Cambodia was built for.

How do you avoid the crowds at Angkor Wat?

Timing and routing. We know which temples are crowded on which days, at which hours, and in which seasons. Your itinerary is built around crowd avoidance from the start — not as an afterthought. We know the secondary paths, the quieter courtyards, and the moments when even the most visited temples offer something close to silence. A private tour gives us the flexibility to act on that knowledge. A group tour never can.

How is this different from booking through a platform like GetYourGuide or Viator?

Booking platforms list tours. We design and lead them — based here in Siem Reap, not managing your experience remotely from Bangkok or Europe. When you contact us, you reach a person. Your guide is not assigned the morning of your tour. The itinerary is not a template. And if something needs adjusting — weather, timing, a temple that is unexpectedly crowded — we make the call on the ground, in real time.

Which vehicle is right for us — Jeep, Vespa, or E-bike?

It depends on what kind of memory you want to create. The vintage Jeep is open-sided and elevated — you feel the landscape around you and arrive at each temple with presence. The Vespa is more intimate, closer to the road, the way locals experience the countryside. The electric mountain bike takes you off the main circuit entirely, through jungle trails most visitors never reach. All three are fully private. If you are unsure, tell us what kind of day you have in mind and we will recommend the right choice.

The Private Tour Experience

Are your tours truly private? Will other guests join our group?

Every tour is exclusively yours. We never add other guests to your booking — not to fill a vehicle, not at any price. Your guide, your vehicle, your schedule. No exceptions.

How flexible is the itinerary on the day?

Completely. If you want to linger at a temple because the light is perfect, you stay. If you want to skip one and find a local market instead, you go. Your guide works entirely around you. This is the practical difference between a private tour and a group tour with fewer people in it.

How knowledgeable are your guides?

Our guides were born and raised near these temples. They know the monks who live inside them, the vendors who have been at the same spot for decades, and which hidden courtyard catches the best light at 7am. That knowledge does not come from a training manual. It comes from growing up here — and it is the thing guests mention most in their reviews.

What is included in the tour price?

Every private tour includes your vehicle with driver, a local English-speaking guide, hotel pickup and drop-off, traditional Khmer lunch on full-day tours, and drinking water throughout. The Angkor Park entrance pass is purchased separately at the ticket office or online: 1-day $37, 3-day $62, 7-day $72.

For Couples and Special Occasions

What does a private tour look like in practice for a couple?

Pickup at your hotel at the time that suits you — not at 5:30am because a group demands it. A guide who knows when to speak and when to leave you in silence. A vehicle that becomes part of the memory. An itinerary built around your interests, not a standard circuit. And photographs taken by your guide at the moments and angles that actually matter.

We are celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary. Can you make it special?

Tell us the occasion when you book. We will build the day around it — the right temple at the right hour, the moments when your guide steps back and gives you space, the photographs worth keeping. We know this landscape intimately. We know what makes a day genuinely memorable versus simply well-organized.

Can our guide take photographs of us during the tour?

Yes, and this is something our guides do well. They know the light at each temple at each hour and the moments worth capturing. Bring your own camera or use your phone — your guide will take care of the rest. Many couples tell us the photographs from their tour are among the best from their entire trip.

Can you help plan our full stay in Siem Reap, beyond the tours?

Yes. Many guests ask us for dinner recommendations, restaurant reservations, and suggestions for days when they are not with us. We know this city personally. If you want one local contact who can act as your concierge across your entire stay — including coordinating directly with your hotel — we are available for that.

Booking and Logistics

How far in advance should we book?

For high season (November to March), we recommend booking four to six weeks ahead minimum. Sunrise tours and multi-day packages fill fastest. If your dates are fixed — particularly for a honeymoon or anniversary trip — book early. We can hold provisional dates while you finalize your itinerary.

Can you coordinate directly with our hotel concierge?

Yes. We work regularly with the teams at Amansara, Raffles Grand, Park Hyatt, and Phum Baitang among others. If you would like us to liaise directly with your hotel on timing or special arrangements, let us know when you book.

What is your cancellation policy?

14 or more days before your tour: full refund. 5 to 13 days before: 50% refund. Less than 5 days or no-show: no refund. If something unexpected happens close to your departure, contact us directly — we will always try to reschedule rather than cancel.

How do we book and what happens after?

Contact us via WhatsApp or the contact form with your preferred dates, group size, and the experience you have in mind. We will respond within a few hours with a tailored proposal. No automated systems, no booking engines — a real conversation with a real person based in Siem Reap.

What happens if it rains?

Cambodia's rainy season runs from July to October. What most travelers imagine — all-day downpours, canceled plans, miserable conditions — is not the reality. Showers are short, warm, and typically over within twenty to thirty minutes.

What the rain does give you is something far more valuable: the green season. Fewer tourists, quieter temples, and a landscape that transforms entirely. The jungle around Angkor deepens into extraordinary shades of green. The forest roads glisten. The temples, stripped of crowds, feel like they belong to you alone.

We have never canceled a tour due to weather. We have, however, had guests tell us that their rainy season visit was the most beautiful week of their lives.
