Siem Reap
Holiday Packages

multi-day tours through Angkor and the Cambodian countryside. Your guide, your vehicle, your pace.

Adventures Cambodia has been running private tours through Siem Reap and the Angkor complex since 2013, founded by Akim Ly — born and raised inside the Angkor complex itself. These multi-day packages combine Angkor temple visits with the Cambodian countryside, Siem Reap city, and food experiences most visitors never find on their own. All packages are private. All vehicles are ours: vintage Jeeps, original Vespas, and Giant electric mountain bikes. TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice Best of the Best award winner.
Best for: first-time visitors who want to cover Angkor properly without rushing, couples looking for a complete Siem Reap experience, travelers who want more than a single temple day, and anyone who prefers a private guide over a group bus.

How Many Days Does Siem Reap Actually Need?

It is the most searched question in every Siem Reap travel forum. And the most common regret from experienced travelers is the same every week: I didn't plan enough.

Angkor is not a single site. It is a 400 km² archaeological park with hundreds of temple complexes spread across forest and countryside.

The Small Circuit alone, Angkor Wat, Bayon, Ta Prohm, takes a full day done properly. The Grand Circuit needs another.

Add Banteay Srei or a sunrise start and you are already at three days before you have eaten a proper meal off the tourist strip or had a single slow morning.

Three days is the minimum most experienced visitors recommend. Five is what most of them wish they had booked. Our packages are built around this reality.

Temple Fatigue Is Real. These Packages Are Designed Around It.

Every traveler who has spent five straight hours in temples in 33°C heat knows the feeling. The carvings start to blur. The tenth bas-relief looks like the ninth. You stop reading the panels. You start thinking about the hotel pool.

This is temple fatigue. It is the main reason poorly structured itineraries leave people feeling like they saw everything while remembering almost nothing.

Our packages are built to prevent it. Temple visits are concentrated in the early morning, when the light is best, the heat is manageable, and the main sites are quietest. Midday is a natural break. The food tour, the countryside ride, the afternoon in Siem Reap city are not fillers. They are reset points that make the next morning feel fresh rather than accumulated.

Guests arrive at each temple with genuine attention rather than exhaustion. Angkor deserves that. So does the trip you planned to get there.

Beyond the Temples — What the Best Siem Reap Trips Have in Common

Ask people who have been to Siem Reap more than once what they remember most. Very few name the third temple on day two. Most describe a specific moment outside the archaeological park: a bowl of fish amok from a market stall, a rice paddy at golden hour, a monk who explained something unexpected about a pagoda you stopped at on the countryside road, the particular quiet of the Angkor forest before the buses arrive at 9am.

These moments happen away from the main circuit. They happen in the Cambodian countryside, in the city after dark, on back roads that tour buses cannot follow. This is why our multi-day packages combine Angkor with these other experiences, not as optional extras, but as core components.

Akim, who built every itinerary from her knowledge of the place she grew up in, puts it this way: the temples explain Cambodia's past. The countryside and the food explain its present. You need both to understand either.

Why Choose Adventures Cambodia for Your Holiday

The Vehicles. We run our own fleet — vintage Jeeps, original Vespas, and Giant Talon E-MTBs. Not rented from a third party, not sourced from a local agency the night before. Every vehicle is maintained by our team and inspected before each departure.
All Private. You are not joining a group tour, sharing a vehicle with strangers, or following a schedule built around twelve people. Your guide knows your name before the first temple. The pace is set around your group entirely. If you want to stay longer at Preah Khan, you stay.
The Itineraries. Every package itinerary was designed by Akim Ly, not by a marketing team or a booking aggregator. Akim grew up inside the Angkor complex — her grandfather was the Grand Abbot of Angkor. The countryside stops, the forest trail routes, the food tour locations: these are places she knows from her own life in Siem Reap, not from a guidebook.
The Guides. All guides are Cambodian, from Siem Reap, fluent in English. Several grew up in villages adjacent to the Angkor Park. They know which temple is quietest at which hour, which back gate saves twenty minutes, and which roadside family has served the best palm cake on the countryside route for thirty years.
Full Flexibility. The listed itineraries are starting points. If you want to add a sunrise, swap a Vespa day for an E-bike, extend a countryside stop, or combine two packages into something custom, we adjust. Message us before booking with what you have in mind and we will build the right itinerary for your trip.

Why I Built These Packages the Way I Did

I have been guiding people through Siem Reap since 2013. For the first few years, I offered only single-day tours. I watched guests do Angkor in one day, tick the box, and leave feeling like they had experienced Cambodia. Some of them had. Most of them had not.

The problem was not the temples. Angkor is extraordinary. The problem was pace. A single day at the Small Circuit in July heat, done properly, is intense. By 2pm most people are too tired to absorb what they are seeing. And they leave having seen nothing of Siem Reap itself: no countryside, no food, no sense of how people actually live here. The temples explain where Cambodia came from. The countryside explains where it is now. Without one, the other is incomplete.

The first time I ran a three-day itinerary that combined Angkor with the Banteay Srei region and an evening food tour, I noticed something different in how guests spoke at the end of the trip. They did not just say the temples were incredible. They described the woman at the palm sugar press on the countryside road. They described the particular smell of the Angkor forest before the gates opened. They remembered things. That is when I understood that the structure of a trip determines what stays with you.

I am not going to tell you that a private multi-day package is the only way to experience Siem Reap. A good tuk-tuk driver and a 3-day Angkor pass is a perfectly honest way to visit. But if you want a guide who knows which trail arrives at Preah Khan from the quiet side, which family serves the best fish amok in the countryside, and where to be standing when the light hits the Bayon faces at 7am — that is what these packages are for.

FAQ about Holiday Package in Siem Reap

Planning your trip — how many days, when to come

How many days should I spend in Siem Reap?

Three days is the minimum most experienced travelers recommend. It covers Angkor's main temples without rushing and adds at least one non-temple experience. Five days is what most people wish they had booked — it gives you the temples properly, plus the countryside, food, and time to actually experience the city at a human pace.

If you have fewer than two full days, our single-day tours are a better fit than a compressed package. If you are genuinely unsure, message us with your available dates and we will tell you honestly what is achievable.

What is the best time of year for a multi-day package?

November to March is the dry season and the most popular window: temperatures 26–30°C, roads at their best, and excellent light for photography at Angkor. April to June is hotter and quieter - completely manageable with early morning starts, and you will have the temples largely to yourself. July to October is the rainy season: fewer tourists, dramatically green landscapes, and lower hotel prices. Short afternoon showers rather than all-day rain. We operate year-round and adapt routes accordingly.

Our honest recommendation: if you have flexibility, November to February is the most comfortable. If you do not, any time of year with an early start is perfectly workable.

Is Siem Reap worth more than one day?

Almost always yes. The temples alone justify two to three days for most first-time visitors. Beyond the temples, the Cambodian countryside, the food scene, and Siem Reap city are genuinely different experiences that most visitors do not expect to be as compelling as they are.

The most consistent feedback we receive from guests who booked a single day: 'I should have planned more.' The most consistent feedback from guests who booked three days or more: 'This was exactly right.'

What is included — and what you arrange separately

What is included in the package price?

All packages include: your private English-speaking guide for each day, your vehicle (Vespa, Jeep, or E-MTB as specified), hotel pickup and drop-off each morning and evening, a traditional Khmer lunch on full-day tours, and drinking water throughout the day.

The 5-Day Signature Tour includes all of the above across five days with a consistent guide who knows your preferences by day two.

What is NOT included in the package price?

The Angkor Archaeological Park entrance pass is not included and must be purchased separately at the ticket office or online. Current prices: 1-day pass $37 USD, 3-day pass $62 USD (valid over any 3 days within a 10-day window), 7-day pass $72 USD. Children under 12 enter free with passport.

Hotel accommodation in Siem Reap is not included. We are happy to recommend options at different price points — just ask when you book.

Which Angkor pass should I buy for my package?

For any 2-day temple package: the 3-day pass ($62) is the correct choice. It costs less than two 1-day passes ($74 combined) and gives you flexibility to re-enter on a third day if you want.

For the 3-day Sunrise + Banteay Srei package: the 3-day pass covers both temple days. For the 5-Day Signature Tour: confirm with us when booking — depending on your itinerary you may need the 3-day or 7-day pass.

We will confirm the right pass for your specific package when your booking is confirmed.

Customising your package

Can I modify the itinerary before booking?

Yes. The listed itineraries are our recommended starting points based on what works well for most travelers. If you want to swap a temple day for a countryside morning, change the vehicle type, move the sunrise to a different day, or adjust the order of activities, we can do this. Message us via WhatsApp with what you have in mind before booking and we will confirm what is possible and quote accordingly.

Can I choose my vehicle for each day of a multi-day package?

Many packages already offer a choice of vehicle (Vespa, Jeep, or E-MTB). If you want a combination not listed — for example, a Jeep on the Angkor day and an E-MTB for the countryside — this can be arranged. Let us know when you book.

Can I add extra days or combine two packages?

Yes. Popular additions: adding a food tour to a 2-day temple package, combining the E-bike Grand Circuit with a Vespa countryside morning, or extending a 3-day package with a single city evening. We will quote the combined price directly — it is generally lower than booking each element separately.

Can you accommodate dietary requirements?

Yes. We accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-based requirements for the included lunches and any food tour component. Please tell us when booking and we will ensure your guide has full details before day one.

Practical logistics

Is hotel pickup included every day of the package?

Yes. All packages include pickup from your hotel in Siem Reap each morning and drop-off at the end of each day's tour. You do not need to arrange any transport. If you are staying outside the main hotel area, let us know your exact address when booking.

How far in advance should I book a package?

We recommend booking at least 5 days in advance to guarantee your preferred dates and vehicle. During peak season (December to February) and around public holidays, 10 to 14 days is safer. Last-minute bookings within 48 hours are sometimes possible — contact us via WhatsApp to check availability.

What is the cancellation policy for packages?

14 or more days before the start date: full refund. 5 to 13 days before: 50% refund. Less than 5 days before the start, or no-show: no refund. We recommend booking with enough lead time to remain within the full refund window.

Are these packages suitable for older travelers or people with limited mobility?

Yes. The Vespa and Jeep packages involve no physical exertion beyond walking through the temples at your own pace, which is entirely controllable. The E-bike packages require basic cycling ability but the pedal assist removes all fitness barriers. Our oldest guest on a multi-day package was 84 years old. If you have specific mobility concerns, message us before booking and we will confirm what is feasible.

What if it rains?

Cambodia's rainy season (June–October) brings short, heavy afternoon showers rather than all-day rain. We provide ponchos. In warm tropical rain, most guests choose to keep cycling — it cools everything down. If rain makes riding unsafe or a trail is flooded, we adapt the route or use our Jeeps or Vespas as alternative transport, at no extra charge. We have never canceled a tour due to rain.

What should I wear and bring?

Clothing: light trousers or pants (not shorts — temple dress code), a short or long-sleeve top covering your shoulders, and closed-toe shoes. Avoid tight activewear and dark colors that absorb heat. We provide helmets. Bring: sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat (for wearing between temples - you remove it at temple entrances), and a small daypack for your camera and personal items. We provide all water and food. No specialist cycling gear is needed.

Can I book a package as a gift?

Yes. We can issue a booking confirmation in the recipient's name and provide a voucher-format document suitable for gifting. Contact us directly via WhatsApp or the contact form with the recipient's details and preferred dates.
