Both Angkor circuits over two mornings, then a private boat on the great lake for the last of the light.
Angkor takes two mornings to do properly, and most people find that out standing in the heat halfway through an overloaded single day. Where this trip differs is the ending. Day one runs the inner loop, Angkor Wat through Bayon to the tree roots of Ta Prohm. Day two heads out to the Grand Circuit, the forest ring where Preah Khan's corridors run long and half-lit and whole courtyards are yours alone. Then day three slows right down: a free morning, a Jeep out through the rice fields at two, and a village on stilts where your own boat idles through while the village winds up its day. The trip ends with drinks open on open water, watching the sun go into the lake.
The three temples everyone comes to Cambodia for, done in the cool half of the day and finished by mid-afternoon.

By the third morning most people have taken four hundred photographs of carved stone and are quietly wondering whether they need a fifth hundred. That is the point at which this itinerary stops.
You spend the afternoon on a boat instead, going slowly through a village on stilts living its own evening around you, and then out to where there is nothing on any side. Drinks come out. The light drops fast this close to the equator, maybe twenty minutes from gold to gone. It is the last thing you do in Siem Reap and it is the one people describe first when they get back.

Si vous voulez visiter les temples à travers la forêt d'Angkor, c'est la meilleure idée de vous faufiler à l'intérieur en Vespa ! Et vous pouvez toujours profiter du coucher de soleil et rester en sécurité grâce au guide. Nous avons vraiment apprécié ! Merci !
Style Angkor VIP. Magnifique journée en compagnie de Bénédicte qui nous a emmenés hors des sentiers battus, à la découverte des trésors d'Angkor, loin des foules de touristes. Départ de notre maison en jeep d'époque. Lingettes rafraîchissantes parfumées à l'eau de jasmin. Temples à la fois splendides et isolés. Petits sentiers dans la jungle. Portes dérobées. Quelques mystères révélés grâce à sa connaissance détaillée des sites et de leur histoire. Déjeuner exquis à la maison. Une escapade indispensable et incontournable.
Excellente journée Vraiment une excursion fantastique en Vespa - un grand merci à nos trois guides qui nous ont fait nous sentir en sécurité et ont très bien pris soin de nous. Ils nous ont emmenés voir les rats détecteurs de mines (visite brillante) ce qui était inattendu, ainsi que le lac et le déjeuner. Vraiment une super journée.
Siem Reap Vespa Notre guide en Vespa a été spectaculaire. Son anglais était excellent. Il connaissait bien la ville et sa culture. Il a répondu à toutes nos questions, y compris en nous donnant des recommandations de restaurants pour d'autres sites à voir dans le pays, et a même répondu à quelques questions sur Angkor Wat que nous avions oublié de poser. Nos conducteurs ont été prudents. Nous avons également fait un tour en Vespa avec la même qualité remarquable à Hanoï.

Daily Life of Cambodia people. We could experience a lot of the daily life of Cambodian people. In the hot weather, this means of transport was enjoyable. All our questions have been answered. We will not forget this journey on the Vespa.

Notre circuit « $365 » de trois jours se déroule entièrement dans les temples. Celui-ci en consacre deux aux temples, puis réserve le dernier jour au lac ; le voyage se termine donc sur un bateau au coucher du soleil, plutôt que par un troisième tour des temples.
Trois jours, c'est parfait ; trois jours de temples, c'est généralement trop. Presque tout le monde constate que son intérêt pour la sculpture sur pierre s'épuise au milieu du deuxième jour, c'est exactement pourquoi cet itinéraire comprend deux jours de temples plutôt que trois.
Le pass de 3 jours, au prix de $62 par personne, s’achète en ligne à l’avance sur angkorenterprise.gov.kh plutôt que de faire la queue au guichet. Il n’existe pas de pass de 2 jours ; c’est donc celui qu’il faut de toute façon pour toute visite de temples s’étalant sur deux jours. Utilisez-le les jours 1 et 2 ; comme l'accès au lac est gratuit, le troisième jour du pass reste disponible et valable toute la semaine. De nombreux visiteurs en profitent pour visiter un temple supplémentaire lors d'une matinée libre. L'entrée est gratuite pour les enfants de moins de 12 ans sur présentation d'un passeport.
Non. Le pass est valable n'importe quels trois jours sur une période de 7 jours, et la journée au lac ne nécessite aucun pass, nous pouvons donc adapter l'itinéraire à vos autres projets. Dites-nous ce que vous avez déjà réservé et nous nous y adapterons.
Your choice on days 1 and 2, and you can swap between them. Both come with your own driver, so you never take the wheel. Day 3 is Jeep only: it is about an hour each way to the lake, with the return after dark, which is not a Vespa run.
Nothing scheduled, on purpose. Days 1 and 2 finish around 2:30 PM and day 3 does not begin until about 2 PM, so you get most of three days back. Guests use them for the hotel pool, the market, a massage, or one more temple on the spare pass day. Ask your guide which temple is quietest at that hour.
Kampong Phluk, about an hour from Siem Reap, not Chong Kneas. Chong Kneas is the closest to town and the one with the documented problems: boats diverting to overpriced floating restaurants, pressured donations, and years of poor reviews to show for it. Kampong Phluk has the tall stilt houses and the mangrove, and we go out on a private boat belonging to one of the village families rather than on a shared twenty-seater.
The village looks completely different, and it is worth seeing either way. High water means boats mooring where people's front steps end and the mangrove reachable by paddled boat. Low water means the same houses standing clear on stilts you could park a car under, a longer approach over dry ground, and usually no mangrove trip. Yes. Your group has it to itself, with your own guide and Kiri, our second guide, who lives in Kampong Phluk. The boats there belong to the village families and the work rotates on a queue, so we hire one and take our ticket like everybody else rather than owning a boat of our own.
Yes. Ages 4 to 12 get 30% off, which brings it to $199.50, and under-4s go free. Children under 12 also enter the Angkor park free with a passport. Three days with two free mornings suits families better than a packed itinerary does, and a child seat can be fitted in the Jeep on request.

J'ai grandi à l'intérieur des murs d'Angkor Vat, dans la pagode où mon grand-père, Loung Sake, officiait comme Grand Abbot. La pagode se dresse encore aujourd'hui, juste à l'intérieur de l'enceinte.
