Two temple days, and a day in the villages in between.
Three private days, and the middle one is not a temple. You start in the dark, inside Angkor Wat before the coaches reach the gate. The second day runs out to Banteay Srei, the pink sandstone temple with the finest carving at Angkor, then back slowly through villages, incense smoke and a Khmer lunch. The third takes the Grand Circuit, the quiet loop most visitors skip. Vespa or vintage Jeep, your pick, with a driver.
Inside the temple before the coaches arrive, back to your hotel for breakfast once the sun is up, then the two temples everyone comes for, taken early.
This is your private tour. Your guide reads your pace and adapts as the morning unfolds: longer at the temples that move you, a shorter stop at the ones that don't, or a swap when it feels right.

Banteay Srei sits inside the park, so it is covered by your Angkor Pass and it uses one day of it. The rest of the day is countryside, no pass needed.
The quiet northern loop: four temples, a Khmer lunch, and far fewer people than the two days before.
Nothing on Day 3 repeats Day 1. The Grand Circuit is the outer loop, and it takes the pressure off: by the third day you are seeing temples at your own pace, not queueing for them.

By early afternoon on the second day the temples are behind you. The road narrows, the coaches are gone, and the stops get smaller: a family rolling incense sticks by hand, a pagoda where the monks are not performing for anyone, a village that sees almost no visitors. Lunch is Khmer, sat down, unhurried. It is the reason the temples on Day 3 still land.
The morning belongs to Banteay Srei, an hour out of town. The afternoon is the long way home, and it takes until about four.

Excellent Vespa tour!. What a wonderful experience! Our drivers and tour guide showed up a little early which was perfect since that allowed us to get started right away. We each had our own scooter driver and a separate guide. We first stopped at Apopo which was incredible to see what these African pouch rats have been trained to do in helping to find landmines throughout Cambodia. It was also fun to hold one of them for a few moments! Then we stopped at a very large market and were given a thorough tour by our guide. It was fascinating to see so many different goods and services in one place. Everyone was incredibly kind and let us take photos when we asked. We followed that with a visit to a Buddhist monastery in the countryside. We were given a tour of the beautiful surroundings and offered a blessing by a young monk. Such a unique experience! Finally, we motored to a private home where we were treated to a absolutely fabulous lunch while gazing at the nearby farmlands and rice paddies. We loved riding on the back of the Vespas and being out in the countryside. The drivers were excellent. We always felt safe, well cared for and were encouraged to ask questions. We made sure to tip each of our drivers and the guide for excellent service. Highly recommend!
Angkor VIP-stijl. Heerlijke dag in het gezelschap van Benedict die ons van de gebaande paden nam, om de schat van Angkor te ontdekken, weg van de drukte van toeristen. Vertrek vanuit ons huis in een vintage jeep. Verfrissende doekjes geparfumeerd met jasmijnwater. Tempels, zowel prachtig als geïsoleerd. Kleine paadjes in de jungle. Achterdeuren. Een paar mysteries onthuld dankzij zijn gedetailleerde kennis van de locaties en hun geschiedenis. Uitstekende lunch thuis. Een onmisbare en niet te missen uitstap.
Fantastic day out. Really fantastic tour on the Vespas - thanks so much to our three guides who made us feel safe and looked after us really well. They took us to see the mine detecting rats (brilliant visit) which was unexpected, and the lake and lunch. Really a super day out.
Siem Reap Vespa Onze Vespagids was fantastisch. Zijn Engels was uitstekend. Hij had veel kennis over de stad en de cultuur. Hij beantwoordde alle vragen, inclusief restaurant aanbevelingen voor andere bezienswaardigheden in het land, en beantwoordde zelfs een paar vragen over Angkor Wat die we waren vergeten te stellen. Onze chauffeurs reden voorzichtig. We deden ook een Vespatour van dezelfde hoge kwaliteit in Hanoi.
Geweldige reis en het personeel is een A+++. Geweldige ervaring om allerlei soorten eten te proberen en het personeel is geweldig. Ze rijden heel veilig and hebben ook veel plezier. Three days is the amount most visitors settle on, and it is what this tour is built around. One day covers Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Prohm and nothing else. Three days lets you take the sunrise properly on Day 1, reach Banteay Srei an hour out of town on Day 2, and finish on the Grand Circuit on Day 3, with a countryside afternoon in the middle so the temples do not blur together.
The 3-day pass, $62. All three days of this tour are inside the park, so all three use a pass day: Angkor Wat on Day 1, Banteay Srei on Day 2, the Grand Circuit on Day 3. That is the whole pass, with nothing spare. Buy it online at angkorenterprise.gov.kh rather than at the gate. The pass is not included in the tour price.
Yes. Banteay Srei sits inside the Angkor park boundary, so your standard Angkor Pass covers it and no separate ticket is needed. It does use one day of your pass, which is easy to miss because the rest of Day 2 is countryside and needs no pass at all. On this tour that is accounted for: Day 2 is one of the three pass days.
You can space them, but not freely, and this tour is the exception among our combos. The 3-day pass is valid for any 3 days within a 7-day window, and this itinerary uses all three of those days. So a rest day in between is fine, as long as all three of your touring days fall inside the 7-day window that starts when your pass does. Tell us your preferred dates when you book and we will set it up.
Day 1 is a sunrise day, with a 4:45 AM pickup at your hotel, and you are back around noon with the afternoon free. On Days 2 and 3 you pick any start time between 7 and 9 AM. Day 2 is a full day out in the countryside and finishes around 4 PM; Day 3 finishes around 3 PM.
You choose on Days 1 and 3, the two temple days. Both run the same route privately with a driver, so it comes down to how you want to travel: the vintage Jeep is the more comfortable in heat and rain and can be self-drive if you hold an international licence, while the Vespa is the more open to the landscape.
Day 2 is by Jeep either way. Banteay Srei is an hour out of town and the afternoon runs on village lanes, which is a long day to spend on the back of a Vespa.
If you would rather ride than be driven, this is not the trip. Take the 3-Day Angkor & Siem Reap by Electric Bike instead, which covers three days on a pedal-assist bike.
The 4:45 AM pickup puts you inside Angkor Wat around 5:15, while the coach groups are still queuing for tickets at the gate. That hour is the difference between photographing the temple and photographing the back of a crowd.
It is also less punishing than it sounds, because you come back to your own hotel for breakfast around 7:30. You can shower and change before heading out again for Bayon and Ta Prohm, and you are done for the day around noon.

The tour runs in the rain. Siem Reap rain usually comes in short afternoon bursts, and we carry ponchos. If you have taken the Jeep you are under a roof anyway.
